This live 2-day workshop will take place in Sydney from 9am–5pm each day. The training venue is at Rydges Camperdown, located a short 15 minute drive from Sydney’s CBD, with on-site parking available for $25 per day. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
Designed for EMDR-trained therapists, this advanced workshop focuses on building greater confidence, fluidity, and creativity in working with a client’s internal ‘parts’ within the EMDR framework. We’ll look at how parts work can be integrated across all eight phases of EMDR, moving beyond structured scripts toward a more intuitive and responsive use of parts interventions.
Over two days, we’ll explore a range of topics, including:
How to engage protectors in ways that reduce conflict and strengthen readiness for reprocessing
Practical strategies for working therapeutically with dissociative parts, voices, and phobias
Approaches for adapting parts work when clients find abstract concepts, metaphor, visualisation, or emotion identification challenging
Building confidence in safely addressing perpetrator introjects within EMDR therapy
Using parts-informed interweaves in Phase 4 to support processing without overwhelming a client’s internal system.
The workshop blends teaching, case examples, experiential practice, and small-group discussions. You’ll leave with practical tools and a clearer sense of how to bring parts work into your EMDR practice with nuance and flexibility.
