EMDR Therapy for Addictions

Addictions are a common co-morbidity for clients who have experienced trauma and can present a complex puzzle for therapists. It can be tricky to discern how much stabilisation is required, and what to target: addictive urges / behaviours, or the trauma underlying this addition?

In this webinar, you will learn how to conceptualise addiction from an EMDR framework, assess a client’s readiness for trauma reprocessing, select appropriate targets, and how to confidently apply the DeTUR Protocol (Popky) and Feeling State Addiction Protocol (Miller) in your EMDR clinical practice.
